Professor Francisca Nonyelum Ogwueleka is a full Professor of Computer Science at University of Abuja. She holds Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Computer Science & Engineering, Master of Science (M.Sc) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degrees in Computer Science with several certifications in Cyber Security. She has been lecturing at the university since 1999. She was made a Full Professor in 2012. She has taught in several universities, most recently, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. 

Though, her research primary domain is data mining techniques, tools and methods; big data and cloud security, she has published innovative research works in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity science, environmental engineering, agriculture, technology and science in reputable international journals.

Outside of the scope of developmental problems, she has research contributions in the areas of Internet architecture, machine-to-machine applications, cloud security, email classification, intrusion detection, steganography, penetration testing solutions, information retrieval and security. Her research focuses on edge computing and enriching the consistency and flexibility of Internet and Web-based systems. She has nine (9) published books, seven (7) book chapters, four (4) eBooks, and over one hundred and twenty-eight (128) high impact journal article publications. She has attended several national and international conferences as a paper presenter, guest of honour and keynote speaker. She is a reviewer for several national and international journals; an international technical adviser for several international conferences and has chaired several conference sessions and syndicates. She has received many educational awards and best paper presentation awards. She has developed both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Information Technology, Computer Science and Cyber Security Science for some national and international universities and colleges. She was a resource person for the development of Undergraduate Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) for Cyber Security and Information Technology Programmes for Nigerian Universities. She has successfully directed and supervised many PhD thesis and Master’s dissertation in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security Science, Information Management Technology, Strategic Security studies; and PGD projects in Computer Science, Intelligence Security Science and Cyber Security. She is NUC resource person for the development of Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS) for Computing discipline made up of seven programmes for Nigerian Universities. She is an external assessor for PhD and Masters programme in some foreign universities and several Nigerian Universities. She has been an external assessor for Professorial Assessment for several notable universities. She is a fellow of Nigerian Computer Society (NCS)and Association of Artificial Intelligence& Machine Learning of Nigeria (AAIMLON), and member of Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Women in Cyber Security (WiCyS), Artificial Intelligence & Intelligent Automation Network (AIIA.net), Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communications (SDIWC), Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT), and International Association of Engineers. She is happily married with children.
