Dr. Wunmi Hassan
Dr Wunmi Hassan obtained her PhD in Technology Management at Technology Planning and Development Unit (TPDU) Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife and a TAGs Degree in Policy Analysis & Performance Evaluation Techniques from the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) of Sussex University (SU) Brighton, UK. She also attended the Oxford Internet Institute (OII), Oxford University, UK during her Doctoral research. Omowunmi Hassan graduated with honours in Computer Science at Masters and Bachelor Degrees from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife, and the then Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti (OSUA) respectively.
Dr. Omowunmi Hassan is an Ambassador of the USA Hidden No More – Women in STEM International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP). She is the vice-chair of the TTWSG Board members in Nigeria. She is one of the foremost Tech Women in the areas of ICT / STEM in Nigeria.
She pioneered and envisioned the High Tech Centre for Nigerian Women and Youth – NGO which empowered Women and Girls in ICT since 2004. The organisation had since built the capacity of women, children and youths as well as older citizens, recently. She founded several co-working organisations like the Nigerian Females in STEM (NigFiSTEM) hidden no more initiative, the High Tech Solutions Hub – a Tech Manufacturing Enterprise, the High-Tech Institute (HTI), and the Nigeria Tech Rally project in 2022 as a multi stakeholders policy advocacy and implementation group.
She is the Managing Director of HOJOB Consults Ltd, a Policy, M&E, and Research Firm. She is happily married with two Children. Dr. Wunmi Hassan is a passionate tech advocate, a teacher and goal-getter par excellence.
